Andryi Lunin, Real Madrid’s second goalkeeper, according to Marca, wants to play somewhere next season in order to gain more playing time. The 23-year-old Ukrainian goalkeeper is playing in the shadow of Thibaut Courtois, and he is well aware that unseating the Belgian from his number one spot will be difficult. Lunin has only appeared in four games for Real Madrid this season. The goalkeeper, who is under contract with Real until June 2024, might be sent out once more, having previously been loaned to Leganes and Valladolid.
According to a Spanish newspaper, the Merengues are already seeking for a replacement, and they are considering David Ospina of Napoli. The 33-year-old Colombian will be free in June, and the Madrid management believes he and the Belgian goalkeeper would form an experienced tandem. The former Nice player is also familiar with Real coach Carlo Ancelotti, having worked with him in Napoli.
Real Madrid is considering David Ospina as a backup goalkeeper.
